Preschool Junior Program

For children 3 years old*

*by September 1 of the current school year

In this program, children learn to confidently express themselves and navigate group settings. Foundational thinking is expanded as students explore pre-reading concepts and writing, logical mathematical concepts, and a deeper discovery of their environment.

Key areas of growth:

  • Social Skills: Children develop deeper emotional intelligence, learning to confidently carry on conversations with peers, share equipment, and navigate cooperative group play.

  • Reading Fundamentals: Children continue to develop their knowledge of phonic sounds and more advanced children will begin blending letters sounds to form simple words.

  • Early Writing: Fine motor skills advance with better pencil grip and control, and children explore creative expression through introductory story telling with inventive writing.

  • Mathematical Thinking: Children begin developing their math knowledge through hands-on activities for object counting, numeric recognition, and patterns.

  • Discovery: Students investigate their world, exploring science and social science concepts like the five senses, simple machines, and different cultures.

  • Gross Motor Skills: Children develop body awareness and control in individual and group activities.
